Here are some examples of wood heat values. The type of wood you burn will determine the quality of fire, the length of time the wood will last and the overall heat it gives off. Here are the numbers for our two most common woods:
Hickory: 27.7 BTU’s Per Cord (millions)
White Oak: 25.7 BTU’s Per Cord (millions)
